Kitchen Organizing Tips

Store your most frequently used items in the most accessible places. Keep things you use most often at eye level; store heavy items below waist level; and infrequently-used items on high shelves or in another area of the house.

Inventory/Use-by Dates/Shopping Lists: Whiteboard attached by magnets to fridge

Al/Plastic Wraps: Tape magnets on the inside of wrap dispensers

Pots & Lids: Store pots on the lower level and lids above
2. Nest pots with paper plates in between layers to prevent scratching. Nonabsorbent ones for cast-iron pans that have traces of oil.

\Tablecloths/Napkins: Shallow drawers or inserts

Cutting Board/Cookie Sheets/Trays:
1) Magazine holders screwed onto the inside of cabinet doors

3) A narrow cabinet is a convenient spot for cooking sheets and cutting boards.

Corner Storage: A lazy Susan is a great solution for a corner cabinet. Remove the corner door to make it easy to see what's in the cabinet.

Dish Towels: Hanging bars pull out for dish towels.

Cups and Saucers: Store as used: saucer, cup, saucer, cup. Looks better but also can be safely stacked higher, and when you pull out a cup and saucer, they are ready for use.

Condiments: A wooden tool caddy filled with serving necessities is a clever way to transport items from the kitchen to the dining room

Space under Shelves: Use under-shelf wire rack over a shelf to take advantage of the often-unused space below

Storage Around Fridge:

Cabinet Over Fridge: Turn unused space over the refrigerator into extra storage. A cabinet over the fridge is a great place to store items you don't need every day. Use open shelves to display dishes or collectibles.
Vertical Shelf Next to Fridge: Carve out a niche for cookbooks in a sliver of space next to a fridge.

Lower cabinets: Lower cabinets can be dark and hard to access, but with baskets, it's easy to corral small items and bring them into view. Plus, by removing the door, reaching what you need is that much faster.

Pull-Out Pantry: Make the most of space between studs with a pull-out storage unit. Just over 6 inches wide, this pantry is perfect for storing dry goods, canned items and everything else you need on hand and within reach.

Cookie Cutters: stack onto paper towel dispensers.
